UNIQA Re focuses its business activities mainly on all insurance companies in the UNIQA Group. However, since the underwriting year 2023, UNIQA Re has been starting to underwrite external business. The company was founded in 2003 with its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2023, UNIQA Re reached a gross written premium amounting to 1,623 billion EUR. The portfolio is largely dominated by non-life reinsurance.
The stability of UNIQA Re is confirmed by a consistent and strong financial rating from a globally recognized rating agency. With our broad range of experts, we see ourselves as an internal Reinsurance Centre of Excellence – we advise all 40 insurance companies of the UNIQA Group in 17 European countries on questions of reinsurance in the life and non-life sector and together we continue to develop sustainable business.
